Silver Dollar Fair on Film
It felt like I had fallen into a surrealist painting.
The swirling of all the saturated colors from the rides, food carts and games. The sea of people that seems to twist and turn. The strange sounds of screeching coming from above our heads.
Corn dog in hand I happily walked through this oddly familiar place.
Well, if I’m being honest more like…curly fries with cheese sauce, turkey leg, lemonade, corn dog, nachos, cotton candy and chocolate covered cheesecake on a stick in hand.
This is another world. So, calories definitely don’t count 🙂
After pigging out, we meandered through the exhibits, avoided the sleazy and very pushy carnies and made our way to the giant Ferris wheel. It was a first for me, as I had never been on a ferris wheel in my entire life. I made an ungraceful leap onto the little cabin that would soon take us above our beloved small town.
I sat down and grinned from ear-to-ear.
It was sunset.
I looked over at Milan and I tried with everything I had to savor that moment.
