Chico Engagement Photography : Brett & Ashley
I absolutely adore Fall for Chico engagement photography. There’s something just a little extra romantic with the Fall colors and the colder weather. It’s definitely a favorite of mine, but then again I just love engagement photography as it is 🙂 And I LOVE these two. They are all things adorable, smart, funny and quirky. I can’t help, but laugh and smile when I’m around them. And I know the same goes for anyone who encounters them. They just shine happiness.
For their engagement session we first started at Monk’s Wine Lounge located in downtown Chico, Ca. What was supposed to be a very sunny day turned into a typical cold, overcast Fall day, which in the end turned out to be perfect. It really captured the feeling of the season. Not to mention overcast days make bright colors pop, which you can really see with Ashley’s cute red umbrella in the photos below.
At engagement sessions I like to incorporate a few film or polaroid images. There is just something about shooting film for me. It’s magical in a way. It allows me to see the world differently and gives me a unique look. For Brett & Ashley’s I brought along with me my vintage polaroid 250 Land Camera loaded up with my favorite black and white film Fuji 3000b, which sadly is getting discontinued. If you would like to help keep this film alive there is a petition you can sign – here.
Ashley & Brett,
Thank you so much for choosing me to document your love! It truly is an honor and I can’t wait to photograph your wedding at The White Ranch!
