Magic. This was magic.
I wish for everyone’s wedding to be like Andrew and Bria’s.
Heck, I wish I could photograph their wedding every weekend!
Where to start!!
It was unique – set at the historic Sou’Wester Lodge in Seaview, Washington, right on the coast. That incredible, rugged coast. It rained off and on. The lodge creaked with every footstep and was filled with so much history and memories of times gone by, gatherings and travelers. The grounds are dotted with retro trailers and cabins. It was a photographers dream come true.
It was personal – they are my best friends. I can’t begin to express the feeling of being there to document, to celebrate and participate in their wedding. It will be something I never forget. I cherish them so much. Plus, my husband, Milan was the officiant which led to all kinds of hilarity. I showed maybe 1% of him hammin’ it up in the blog photos. Besides bringing the comedy, Milan poured his heart out on the page for their ceremony and agonized for weeks. It was inspiring to watch him perform the ceremony.
What I loved most (although I could go on for HOURS about my love for them), was that they threw tradition out the window and made their wedding – theirs. We start out this modern fairytale with the two of them getting ready together in their charming cabin on the Sou’Wester grounds.
By some miracle it stopped raining for a moment for us to trek out to Cape Disappointment, which the name itself lent itself to MANY jokes, BUT the kicker? Cape Disappointment was nothing like its namesake. IT WAS FRIGGIN’ GORGEOUS. I wanted to spend like 3-4-12hrs, photographing there.
It miiiiiight be pouring in these beach photos, but it was worth it!! OMG!!
Bria & Andrea,
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! For choosing me to photograph your wedding. We cherished every moment we got to spend with you and your amazing family! Andrew, I think your dad is right, we need to start a dinner club 😉 We love you both so much. My heart aches everytime we leave. We wish you nothing short of a lifetime of happiness.
